On Thursday 22nd January the 1st stage of the Costa Blanca Bike Race will take place in Benidorm starting from the Poniente Beach at 10:00 a.m.
The route will cover 44 kilometres with an approximate gradient of 1500 metres through some of the paths and roads in the forested Poninete area of Benidorm
This international mountain bike competition will take place from the 22nd - 25th of January with each stage covering approximately 40 - 70 kilometres. The second stage will take place in L'Alfas del Pi on the 23rd of January, in Polop on the 24th of January and in Finestrat on the 25th of January.
The Costa Blanca Bike Race is included in the International Cyclists' Union calendar of events and this year there will be 400 participants, in 60 teams from 15 different countries.
