Benidorm Feast of the Cross 30th April – 3rd May 2015.
Benidorm will celebrate one of its oldest fiestas with residents from the old town, the Feast of the Cross. The town will celebrate the fiesta will the traditional blessing of the stone cross situated on the Via Emilio Ortuño, the exact spot where the town originally ended.
Four days of tradition which will commence on Thursday 30th of April in the Plaza de La Cruz with the traditional floral adorning of the cross. There will be sweet mistela wine and coca (pastry) for those present. Finally there will be a requiem mass in the Church of Saint Jaime and Saint Ana in memory of all Benidorm’s departed.

Thursday 30th April
22:00. Adorning of the Cross. Mistela & pastry for those present.
Friday 1st May
08:00 Bell Ringing and parade.
11:00 Meeting at the Palmera of the Fiestas Commission. Then procession with local dignitaries, parish priest from the Church of St Jaime & St Ana to the foot of the cross and a blessing of the old town boundaries.
Young resident Gema Ramirez Garcia, will recite the traditional verse of the Holy Cross, then there will be a floral offering and holy mass in the Church accompanied by the La Barqueta Choir.
Sunday 3rd May
12:00 Concert in the Plaza Mayor from the Musical Union of Benidorm , directed by Don Pedro Salinas.
19:00 Requiem mass in memory of all deceased Benidorm residents in the Church of St Jaime & St Ana.
