Terra Mitica is flying high with its new attraction “Tornado".
Opening the 2016 season with this new spinning attraction, 80 meters in height, the Benidorm theme park guarantees visitors an adrenaline rush like no other. 24 flying chairs, suspended from an imposing 80-metre-high tower, spin at different altitudes and speeds.
Located in the Rome area of the park, the attraction is based on the legend of a Roman Soldier nicknamed Tornado. Under the reign of Julio Cesar, soldiers used slings or catapults as weapons against their enemies and one such warrior, earned the nickname Tornado for his ferocious speed and adeptness with his catapult.
This new attraction aims to create the movement and motion of theses catapults used by the Roman Soldiers.
Those who dare can enjoy magnificent views of Benidorm during the day and the unmistakeable skyline lit up at night.
Tornado is not the only novelty for the season at Terra Mitica, the park will inaugurate a "luxury hotel" over the next few days.
